I've been burned by Christian Businesses before!

The problem is confusing "Nominal" with "Real".
Prior to the time when Constantine declared Christianity to be the state religion, Christians were identified by their confession of Christ as their Lord and Savior. People saw a change in their lives. They even submitted to torture and persecution because they would not renounce this claim.
According to The Bible, this is the definition of a "real" Christian. With the nationalization of the church, many were incorporated into Christianity in name only - not by what they believed. This is the "nominal" (in name only) church.

This situation of two churches superimposed on each other can be seen in our business world as well. So, while anyone may say that theirs is a Christian business, I would encourage you to evaluate each business on the basis of The Bible.
Scripture says many things, first it says that we are all sinners and incapable of being perfect all of the time. So, don't expect a Christian business to be perfect all the time. The Bible says that if a Christian is doing things in violation of the Bible's teaching, a Believer should go to him and try to work it out. I would suggest that one measure of a Christian business is how they deal with you if you believe that you have not been dealt with fairly or in a Christian manner.
A true Christian business will seek to uphold and bring honor to Christ. The business will have the heart of a "server". Jesus came and said many things, but in the end He proved Himself by His actions. True followers are known by their fruit. Make sure you are dealing with a "real" and not a "nominal" Christian business.

If you are dealing with me, and you believe that I am not being true to the Biblical Standard, I would ask that you come to me and discuss the situation with me that we may reason it out together.
