For Business Owners

The fact is, everyone is in sales. Whatever area you work in,
you do have clients and you do need to sell. (Jay Abraham)

A business exists for only one thing - customers. If your business is not meeting customers' needs, you will not make it into that 8% of businesses still operating after 10 years!
But, Customers do not purchase based on needs but on benefits. Any number of companies may supply goods or services which can meet their needs, your company must sell your customers on the benefits provided by your goods and services. How do you communicate the benefits you can provide? It is called a Marketing Plan.

Almost every business has an objective of increasing sales. There are only two ways to increase sales - you increase sales to existing customers or you get new customers while keeping your existing customers satisfied (or a combination of the two strategies). Your marketing plan is the roadmap for making increased sales a reality. With your marketing plan, you target your customers, you set measurable and achieveable goals, you create action plans of who is responsible for each activity, and you track your progress. Without your marketing plan, how will you know if you are being successful with increasing sales?

Are you in control of your company's marketing?
